It was just announced on June 28, 2016 that three of our very own students, Kristen MacGregor, Jo-Ey Lee, Tamique Nairne, won the prestigious Edwin Neil Full Potential Student Competition!
The Edwin Neill II Full Potential Student Award and Competition was created to memorialize one of the greatest motivators in the Aveda network. In honor of Edwin Neill II and his talent of developing potential, students from our Institute Network schools annually compete as a team of 3 to exemplify collaborative work in color, styling and makeup.
Edwin Neill Full Potential Award Rules and Regulation Students will be judged on individual skills. Students are judged on the following: creativity, artistry, difficulty, presentation, sanitation, product, and recommendation. The criteria is for the most dramatic transformation (before and after shot) where no wigs, hair pieces, extensions or wefts may be used and no photos may be touched up or altered.
This is the second time the Aveda Institute Toronto has won in 3 years! In 2014, three aspiring students stylists, Rachel Swan, Min Kim and Victoria Hunter won with their amazing transformation! Rachel Swan is currently training to be an Educator at the Aveda Institute Toronto so she can give back to the future generations of aspiring hairstylists!
A huge congratulations to all our students for their creativity, passion and innovative vision and may we wish you all the best of luck with your future endeavours!
